Promulgation of the Regulations Governing the Establishment and Compliance Matters of Offshore Banking Branches and Regulations Governing the Establishment of Offshore Securities Units and consequent amendments to the Offshore Banking Act Enforcement Rules

With the authorization granted by Article 3 and Article 22-3 of the Offshore Banking Act, the FSC promulgated the two regulations with the Central Bank on August 8, 2017. The two regulations set the requirements on applications for OBU and OSU establishment, application documents and allocation of minimum working capital for operation. Moreover, the FSC also deleted the provisions about requirements on OBU and OSU establishment and other related requirements in the Offshore Banking Act Enforcement Rules for the promulgation of these two Regulations.
