Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of September 2020

Up until the end of September 2020, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 65.11% and 67.33% of total loans extended to total enterprises and private enterprises respectively, increased by 0.68 and 0.65 percentage points respectively as compared to the end of August 2020. In September 2020, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.36% and decreased by 0.01 percentage point as compared to the end of August 2020.
The Financial Supervisory Commission continues to encourage domestic banks to promote SME loans with risk control and management in place. The FSC will endeavor to foster a favorable banking environment for Small and Medium Enterprises.
