1. Foreign Institutional Investors (FINI) and Mainland Area Investors’ (QDII) Investment in the Securities Markets
（1） Offshore FINIs: 89 applications were registered from May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022.
（2） Onshore FINIs: 0 application was registered from May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022.
（3） QDIIs: 0 application was registered from May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022. According to the Regulations Governing Securities Investment and Futures Trading in Taiwan by Mainland Area Investors, mainland area investors (QDIIs) that engage in securities investment or futures trading in Taiwan are limited to qualified institutional investors approved by the competent authority of banking, insurance or securities for the mainland area.
（4） As of May 31, 2022, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FINIs was about US$225.74 billion, and QDIIs was about US$28.8 million.
2. Foreign Individual Investors’ (FIDI) Investment in the Securities Markets
（1） Offshore FIDIs: 2 applications were registered from May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022.
（2） Onshore FIDIs: 175 applications were registered from May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022.
（3） As of May 31, 2022, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FIDIs totaled about US$193 million.
3. As of May 31, 2022, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FINIs, QDIIs and offshore FIDIs totaled about US$225.96 billion.
4. Foreign Portfolio Investment in Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) Shares
（1） Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022, all foreign investors bought NT$7,729.07 billion, and sold NT$8,371.33 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$642.26 billion.
（2） Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022, QDIIs bought NT$0.96 billion, and sold NT$ 1.72 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$0.76 billion.
5. Foreign Portfolio Investment in Taipei Exchange (TPEX) Shares
（1） Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022, all foreign investors bought NT$1,255.37 billion, and sold NT$1,286.51 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$31.14 billion.
（2） Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022, QDIIs bought NT$115 million, and sold NT$314 million of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$199 million.
