NPL Ratio for Domestic Banks as of the End of October 2025

       The total outstanding loans extended by the current 38 domestic banks increased by NT$134 billion (US$4.36 billion) as compared to the figure of the previous month and amounted to NT$44.27 trillion (US$1,440 billion) at the end of October 2025. Meanwhile, the NPLs of these banks totaled at NT$68.14 billion (US$2.22 billion), an increase of NT$0.82 billion (US$0.03 billion) against the previous month. The average NPL ratio of the 38 banks was 0.15%, remaining the same as the end of the previous month and down by 0.01 percentage points compared to the same month last year.
  The coverage ratios of allowances for NPLs was 877.27%, a decrease of 4.44 precentage points against the previous month. The asset quality of domestic banks continuously remained manageable according to the above figures as of the end of October 2025. The FSC will require banks to undertake measures to improve asset quality and financial structure on an ongoing basis.
