As of the second quarter of 2019, microinsurance has covered 719,319 people accumulatively, among which there are 370,389 (51.49%) female policyholders, more than male policyholders, 348,930 (48.51%). People insured are mainly of Taiwanese indigenous people, 250,423 (34.81%), where women account for 53.85%, higher than that of women insured overall, 51.49%. Age range covered is primarily from 40 to 49 years old, in total 146,610 people (20.38%), where women account for 53.31%, higher than that of women insured overall, 51.49%. In terms of region, Taoyuan City has the highest number of people insured, 160,361 (22.29%), where women account for 50.50%, lower than that of women insured overall, 51.49%, though the gap is not large.
