The FSC held the "2021 Conference on ERM in the Insurance Industry" on 16 November 2021. At this year's event, which focused on the theme of "How Climate Change Shapes Insurers - Risks, Resilience and Opportunities," all participants attended online. Insurance professionals and experts from the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Taiwan, as well as supervisory officials from the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), were invited to share their insights on the risks that climate change poses to insurers. Hopefully Taiwanese insurers, by observing what has been done in other countries, can develop greater resilience against this type of risk and learn to identify and seize upon related business development opportunities.
