Review Project of FSC’s Regulations in 2020 – the 1st Announcement of Off-The-Shelf Regulations

FSC has conducted its thorough review project of regulations in 2020, and as of the date of 9 September 2020, the number of regulations reviewed as no need to remain effective or incompatible with present needs is as follows: the FSC’s, 17 the Banking Bureau’s, 533; the Securities and Futures Bureau’s, 61; and the Insurance Bureau’s, 167. The said regulations will be off-the-shelf from websites of FSC’s and relevant Bureaus’ from the date of 1 January 2021, and meanwhile will not be adopted as the legal basis of FSC’s administrative sanctions.
