On 1 July 2012, the “ Financial Supervisory Commission, Executive Yuan” changed its name to the "Financial Supervisory Commission”, according to the amendment of the Organic Act Governing the Establishment of the Financial Supervisory Commission. The first commissioner was the former commissioner, Mr. Yu Zhang Chen.
