Sales of spillover-effect insurance products and provision of in-kind benefits by life insurers in 2024 through Q4

As of the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of life insurers in selling spillover-effect insurance products and providing in-kind benefits was as follows:
1. The FSC has approved or accepted registrations of 245 spillover-effect insurance products from 15 life insurance companies. In total, 1,195,985 new contracts for such products have been sold as of the fourth quarter of 2024, up by 6% from 1,129,046 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. The first-year premium income was NT$27,748.63 million, up by 34% from NT$20,748.19 million compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
2. The FSC has approved or accepted registrations of 48 in-kind payment insurance products from 7 life insurance companies. In total, 261,115 new contracts for such products have been sold as of the fourth quarter of 2024, down by 7% from 281,200 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. The first-year premium income was NT$1,736.70 million, down by 52% from NT$3,583.87 million compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
