The FSC recently amended the aforementioned Regulations in order to: (a) respond to the establishment of internet-only banks; (b) strengthen supervision of the responsible persons of insurance brokerages and agencies; (c) spur insurance brokerages, agencies, and banks that concurrently operate insurance broker or agent business to maintain safe and sound business practices and strengthen their financial condition; (d) better protect the interests of customers that use digital insurance policies; (e) enhance the transparency of processes by which reinsurance is arranged; and (f) strengthen reinsurance-related supervision and market discipline.
